The Netherlands Antillean Guilder (ANG) remains steady against the US dollar at its three-month average of 0.5587, reflecting recent stability in the currency. While the USD continues its rally supported by strong US economic data and expectations of a hawkish Fed stance, the ANG has maintained its position without significant moves against the dollar.
Against major currencies, the ANG has shown stability:
- It sits near its 7-day lows against the euro at 0.4812 but remains close to recent levels.
- The currency also remains near its 7-day lows versus the British pound at 0.4161.
- against the Japanese yen, the ANG is just above its three-month average, trading around 89.62.
- Notably, the ANG has strengthened slightly against the Canadian dollar, trading near a 90-day high of 0.7819, about 1.5% above its three-month average.
With the US dollar holding strong, the ANG’s performance remains quite stable in the short term. Market participants should watch for any shifts in US economic indicators or Fed commentary, which could influence future currency moves.
