The Azerbaijani manat (AZN) remains steady against the US dollar at around 0.5882, matching its 3-month average. Despite broader US dollar strength, the AZN hasn't shown significant movement, supported by Azerbaijan's recent stable economic outlook and projections of an 8.2% strengthening in the nominal effective exchange rate for 2025. This outlook, along with the Central Bank's interventions, helps keep the manat stable against other currencies.
against the euro, AZN has traded at recent highs near 0.5068, slightly above its 3-month average, indicating a modest rise. Meanwhile, the currency has seen little change against the pound, close to 0.4376, near its usual range. The AZN has also edged higher versus the Canadian dollar at 0.8135, near 30-day highs, supporting the view of relative stability.
Overall, the manat’s stability is supported by Azerbaijani economic policies and external forecasts. For traders and investors, this means continued cautious optimism, with potential for gradual appreciation against some currencies, while remaining resilient amid fluctuating USD trends.
