Wells Fargo international wire FAQs
How long does a Wells Fargo international wire take?
The current international Digital Wire cutoff is 2:20 p.m. Pacific Time. Eligible wires submitted before the cutoff can be processed on the same business day; later wires are processed on the next business day. Recipient delivery varies by country and receiving institution and can be delayed by security or compliance review.
How do I receive an international wire at Wells Fargo?
Wells Fargo lists WFBIUS6S as its SWIFT or BIC for international wires. Instructions can vary with the incoming currency and sending institution, so obtain the current routing and intermediary details from Wells Fargo before a payment is sent.
Consumer and non-analyzed business accounts currently have no Wells Fargo incoming-wire fee. An incoming foreign-currency wire is converted to US dollars using Wells Fargo's applicable exchange rate, which includes a markup.
Can a Wells Fargo wire be cancelled?
Not every wire can be cancelled. A wire with a Scheduled status can still be cancelled online, but recovery may not be possible after processing begins. Verify unexpected changes to beneficiary instructions through a trusted channel before sending.
Is Wells Fargo regulated?
Deposit products are offered by Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., Member FDIC. Deposit insurance does not protect customers from an incorrect, fraudulent or unfavourably converted wire payment.
