Chase international wire fees for US customers
These are standard personal-account fees from Chase's schedule effective 14 June 2026. Certain checking and savings products waive some wire fees.
For wires sent or received in foreign currency, Chase determines the exchange rate and includes a spread. Intermediary and recipient banks may also deduct charges. Compare the expected recipient amount rather than the wire fee alone.
Chase wire timing and receiving details
Chase's general guidance says international wires can take one to five business days. Timing depends on the destination, cut-off times, weekends, intermediary banks, compliance checks and the recipient institution. An incoming wire can take up to 24 hours to appear after it reaches Chase.
For an international wire to a Chase US account, Chase lists SWIFT or BIC CHASUS33 together with the recipient's account number. Chase does not use an IBAN for its US accounts. Confirm the current instructions before sending an important payment.
Most Chase checking accounts can send and receive wires. Chase Secure Banking can receive but not send wires, while Chase First Banking does not support wires.
Cards and overseas spending
Chase's standard personal fee schedule lists a 3% Foreign Exchange Rate Adjustment for debit-card purchases and withdrawals in a non-US currency, plus a $5 Chase fee for withdrawals at non-Chase ATMs outside the US and US territories. Premium accounts may waive these charges, and credit-card terms vary by product.
Personal international wires have a 30-minute cancellation window after authorisation when the cancellation option is available. Verify recipient instructions carefully because recovery after that window is unlikely.
