Wise fees for United States customers
Wise's US personal pricing advertises currency conversion from 0.57%, but the actual fee varies by currency, amount and payment method. Review the live quote before sending.
- Personal account registration: free.
- Physical Wise Multi-Currency Card: US$9 with no subscription fee.
- Digital card: free for eligible customers.
- Wise ATM fee: no charge on up to US$250 withdrawn per calendar month; each withdrawal after that costs US$1.95 plus 1.95%.
- External e-wallet and specified cash-like funding transactions: 2%.
ATM operators can charge separately. Card spending in a currency already held is free; otherwise Wise applies the mid-market rate and a conversion fee.

Wise timing, safeguarding and support
Wise shows an estimated arrival before confirmation. Some transfers are immediate or same-day; others take several business days depending on funding, currencies, banking hours, recipient processing and verification.
Most transfers use a guaranteed rate for a stated period. Wise must receive the full payment in time for that rate to apply. Some routes use a live rate, so the recipient amount can change before processing.
Wise safeguards eligible customer money separately from its operating funds under market-specific rules. Safeguarding is not the same as ordinary bank deposit insurance, and investment products have separate terms.
Wise offers authenticated online support and regional telephone support. Its current help page states that phone lines are open 24/7, although customers should log in to see the appropriate number and options.
Verify recipient details carefully. Safeguarding does not reimburse an authorised transfer sent to a scammer.
