NatWest GBP exchange-rate margins and fees

NatWest says its Business Current Account international-payment rates include an FX margin. For core payment currencies, NatWest says its margin will not exceed 2.65% added to the FX rate it receives from NatWest Markets. For listed non-core currencies, it says the margin will not exceed 3.5% added to its supplier rate. The margin can vary with the amount sent or received.

For Online Banking and Bankline, NatWest lists a £15 charge for international payments in currencies other than euros and a 50p charge for SEPA payments. Receiving-bank, intermediary or agent charges may also apply, depending on the charge option and destination.

BER compares NatWest's published customer rate with the market mid-rate. NatWest's stated caps use the rate it receives from NatWest Markets or another supplier, so they are not caps on BER's independently measured difference from the mid-rate. The comparison table may not include every payment, intermediary or recipient-bank charge.
