Revolut transfer timing and important checks

Transfers between Revolut users are generally instant. For US personal accounts, Revolut says an outbound wire usually takes one business day, ACH can take up to five business days, and outbound SWIFT transfers can take up to two business days.

Timing varies by market and route. Weekends, public holidays, recipient-bank processing, intermediary banks and compliance checks can delay a transfer. Use the estimated arrival shown in the app for the specific payment.

Before confirming:

  • check the exchange rate, exchange fee and transfer fee together;
  • compare the amount expected to reach the recipient;
  • confirm whether intermediary-bank deductions can apply;
  • verify the recipient details and currency; and
  • read the legal terms for the country where the Revolut account was opened.
